Privacy Policy
Updated On 10/29/2026
Smith's Landing Seafood Grill ("Smith's Landing," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at www.smithslandingantioch.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or contact us through it, how we use and share that information, and the choices you have.
Some of the services we offer, such as online ordering and table reservations, are run by other companies on their own websites or inside tools embedded on our Site. We name those companies below. When you use their services, their privacy policies also apply.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
We collect the information you choose to provide when you use the forms and services on the Site:
- Newsletter signup: your first name, last name, and email address.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, and the message you send us.
- Private dining inquiries: your first and last name, email address, phone number, company name, number of guests, and any details you share about your event.
- Job applications: your name, email address, phone number, cover letter, and the resume or other files you upload.
- Reservations: reservations are handled by OpenTable. When you book a table, OpenTable collects your name, phone number, email address, party size, date and time, and any special requests, and shares your reservation details with us so we can seat you.
- Gift cards: when you buy a gift card through our online store, we collect the purchaser's name and email address, the recipient's name and email address, any gift message, and payment information. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processor, not stored by us.
- Event tickets and take-home orders: tickets for our events and pre-orders such as holiday dinners are sold through an online store run by Ecwid. Ecwid collects your name, email address, phone number, order and pickup details, and payment information on our behalf.
- Online ordering: when you click "Order Online," you leave our Site and place your order on ChowNow. ChowNow collects your name, contact details, order, and payment information and shares your order with us so we can prepare it.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and the service providers that run it automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, the website that referred you, and your approximate location based on your IP address. This information is collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described in Section 3.
Information from other sources
If you interact with us on Facebook or Instagram, for example by following, tagging, or messaging us, we may see your public profile information and the content of your interaction. We also receive reservation and order details from OpenTable and ChowNow as described above.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Seat your reservation, prepare your order, deliver your gift card, and process your event tickets.
- Respond to your questions, comments, and private dining inquiries.
- Review job applications and contact applicants about employment.
- Send our email newsletter and announcements about events, menus, and specials to people who sign up.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
- Understand how visitors use the Site so we can make it more useful.
- Measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show you ads for Smith's Landing on Facebook and Instagram, where you have allowed advertising cookies.
- Protect against spam, fraud, and misuse of the Site.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
3. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Cookies are small files placed on your device by a website. Pixels and similar tools work in a comparable way. The Site uses these technologies in the following categories:
- Essential: required for the Site to work, including security, bot protection, and the consent tool itself. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics: Google Analytics and the analytics built into our website platform, BentoBox, help us understand how visitors reach and use the Site.
- Advertising: the Meta Pixel lets us measure the results of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and show relevant ads to people who have visited the Site.
- Functional: tools that add features to the Site, including Google Maps for directions, Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from spam, the AudioEye accessibility tool, Google Fonts, and our embedded Instagram feed.
Your cookie choices. When you first visit the Site, a banner from our consent tool, Termly, lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies by category. You can change your choices at any time by clicking "Manage Consent Preferences" in the footer of any page. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings, although parts of the Site may not work properly without essential cookies.
You can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/privacy and how Meta uses data at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising. There is no common standard for other "Do Not Track" browser signals, and the Site does not respond to them.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share information only in the following ways:
Service providers. We work with companies that help us run the Site and our restaurant. They may process your information only to provide their services to us. These include:
- BentoBox, which hosts the Site, processes our forms, sends our newsletter, and runs our gift card store.
- OpenTable, which handles table reservations.
- ChowNow, which handles online ordering.
- Ecwid by Lightspeed, which runs our event ticket and take-home order store.
- Payment processors, which handle card payments for gift cards, tickets, and orders.
- inKind, a dining rewards and payment program whose offer appears on our Site. If you choose to join inKind, you provide your information directly to them.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Maps, reCAPTCHA, and Fonts.
- Meta, which provides the Meta Pixel and the Facebook and Instagram content embedded on the Site.
- AudioEye, which provides accessibility features for the Site.
- Termly, which runs our cookie consent tool.
Advertising and analytics partners. When you allow advertising or analytics cookies, Google and Meta collect information about your visit through their tools. California law may treat this as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time through "Manage Consent Preferences" in the Site footer.
Legal requirements and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers. If Smith's Landing is sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may be transferred to the new owner as part of that transaction.

6. Email Communications
We send our newsletter only to people who sign up for it. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you by contacting us using the details in Section 12. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send you messages about something you requested, such as a reservation, order, gift card, or job application.
7. How Long We Keep Information

8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. The Site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and card payments are handled by payment processors that specialize in secure payment handling. We do not store full payment card numbers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Anyone who uses the Site can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about them, unsubscribe from our newsletter, and manage cookies as described in Section 3. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, for example by confirming the email address you used with us.
California residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"), gives California residents specific rights. Whether or not the CCPA technically applies to our business, we honor these rights for all California residents:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you, including the categories of information, sources, purposes, and the third parties we share it with.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of the sharing described in Section 4, click "Manage Consent Preferences" in the Site footer or turn on the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by law.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, as described in Section 1: identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number, and IP address); customer records (such as payment and order information); commercial information (such as purchase history); internet activity (such as pages viewed and interactions with the Site); approximate geolocation; professional and employment information (from job applicants); and inferences drawn from the above for analytics and advertising. We collect this information from you directly, from your device, and from the service providers named in Section 4, and we disclose it to those service providers for the business purposes described in Section 2.
You may make a request by contacting us using the details in Section 12. You may also authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf, in which case we may ask for proof of that authorization. We will respond within 45 days, or let you know if we need more time.
Shine the Light. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 allows California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Residents of other U.S. states
If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. You can exercise those rights by contacting us using the details in Section 12.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland
We process your personal information to perform a contract with you (for example, to fulfill an order), with your consent (for example, for the newsletter and non-essential cookies), to comply with the law, or for our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business and the Site. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, to withdraw your consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our Site and service providers are based in the United States, so your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will take additional steps to let you know, such as posting a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
